This sub-category focuses on public, semi-public or private architectural projects for a variety of users, including offices, cultural, administrative, industrial, service, commercial, tourism, sport or leisure buildings. In this sub-category, architects who have the right to practice in the country in which they are resident and whose projects have been received between July 2022 and July 2024 may participate with their work.
In this subcategory, projects will be divided into newly built projects and interventions on existing buildings.
Newly constructed buildings completed between July 2022 and July 2024 in the commercial, service, institutional, cultural and industrial sectors can be entered.
Heritage projects or interventions on existing buildings with or without patrimonial value, in the fields of housing, commercial, services, institutional, cultural, industrial can be submitted.

What projects can be entered in this subcategory?
The following types of buildings may be registered:
- commercial, office, mixed-use, industrial;
- hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, wellness buildings, recreation;
- socio-cultural (education, health, social welfare, sport and youth);
- national defence (military establishments, specialised educational establishments),
- public order (police units, fire units);
- public authority (central government institutions, local institutions (town halls, prefectures, judicial institutions);
- tourism (tourist information centres / tourism institutions);
- from other fields (environmental protection, water management, research institutions);
- libraries, museums, theatres, cinemas, churches;
- restoration, rehabilitation, extensions.
The projects must be completed within the last two years (July 2022 - July 2024).
Who can participate in this category?
This category is open to architects or architectural leaders entitled to practice in accordance with the legislation in force in the country in which they practice their profession and the groups they lead. If the project is not located on the territory of Romania, Hungary or Serbia, the main author of the project must be resident or have graduated from a specialised university in one of the three countries.
